Fifteen years ago a group of eight Inuit fishermen went on a small wood boat for fishing. The weather turned bad and they just had time to send a Mayday before the boat sink in the ocean. Only two young boys made their way to rescue spending 3 days in cold water. One said they always had to fight against falling asleep. At one time close to death he remember seeing a beautiful young girl deep in the water. This young girl who could be of his family remembered him a story told by his father. A warning strong enough to keep him and his cousin out of sleep in cold water for 3 days. A warning witch save their life. This is my interpretation of this terrible accident in my own mermaid culture.
